Israeli shells kills 10 residents, including family members, in the Gaza Strip

Israeli missiles landed on the family house of Khalil Alhaiya in the Alzaytoun neighborhood in Gaza city, killing ten people, security sources and witnesses said.

The sources added that among those killed were members of the Al Hayya family including his brothers, while Alhaiya himself was not present at the time of the attack.

Some of the residents who were killed in the Israeli air strike were identified as Nimir Ismail Al Hayya, 60, Bakir Al Hayya, 26, Jihad Abdul-Hamid Al Hayya, 17, Abdul-Hamid Al Hayya, 35, Ala’ Al Hayya, 22, Ibrahim Al Hayya, 23, Mohammad Khalid Al Hayya, 16, Sameh Farawna, 27.

Dr. Moa'wiya Abu Hasanain, chief of emergency depatment at the Palestinian health ministry, confirmed that 12 others have been injured, a number of whom are in critical conditions.

(2) Es sollte bewußt nur die Familie ausgerottet werden, um Hrn. Khalil Alhaiya lebend zu bestrafen.

Wie konnte ich nur so einen Unsinn schreiben.

"Following the attack, Israel Defense Forces sources said that the attack had not been an attempt to assassinate al-Haya. They said the IAF had fired at Hamas militants who had been outside the house. IDF sources maintain that only three of the eight Palestinians killed in the attack had been civilians, and the remaining five had been militants active in the Hamas military wing."

Seltsam auch dies:
In den Meldungen wird berichtet, daß im Libanon gegen "muslimische extremisten aus der palästinensischen Fatach" gekämpft wird...die ganze Zeit war doch die Fatach gemäßigt und die Hamas der Gegner Israels in Palestina...hat da ein Manipulator für die Medien was verwechselt?

Ist die weitere Eskalation schon geplant?

Es regt mich mächtig auf, dass Israel die Schuldfrage völlig pervertiert. Israel führt Vernichtungskriege, hat Duzende von UNO Resolutionen missachtet und die gesamte politische Mischpoke dieses Landes müsste unter Anklage nach Den Haag verfrachtet werden.

Wird hier der nächste Vernichtungskrieg gerade angekündigt?

nur stehen israelis im gegensatz zu palästinensern, libanesen usw. auf einer ganz anderen, höheren stufe. es wird immer so getan, als müsse sich israel als armes opfer ständig gegen böse, böse terroristen verteidigen, dabei sprechen die opferzahlen eine ganz andere sprache. über 650 getöteten palästinensern letztes jahr, davon über die hälfte zivilisten (120 davon kinder/jugendliche) stehen 21 getötete israelische zivilisten gegenüber- dem niedrigsten stand seit beginn der intifada.

More than 320 civilians were among a threefold increase in the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli security forces last year, according to Amnesty International. The human rights group`s 2007 report says that over half of the more than 650 Palestinians killed in 2006 were civilians, 120 of them children and young people under 18. Amnesty defines civilians, `as people that are reasonably supposed never to have been involved in armed operations`.

While Amnesty said that dozens of Palestinians were killed in the West Bank it pointed out that most of the increase resulted from aerial and artillery bombardments in Gaza after the abduction of the Israeli corporal Gilad Shalit in late June and in response to increased Qassam rocket fire on Israel. These included, for example, the shelling of a house in the northern town of Beit Hanoun which killed 17 members of the Athamneh family.

The report said 21 Israeli civilians were killed by Palestinians militants in the same year, the lowest figure since the beginning of the second intifada in 2000.

Es macht mich wechselnd wütend und traurig wir die Spirale sich weiterdreht und am Mittwoch wiedereinmal der Tod beschlossen werden wird. Es fällt mir auch zunehmend schwer eine hinreichende Differenzierung zu leisten.

Israel Defense Forces troops killed two Fatah militants Tuesday during separate raids in the West Bank.

IDF special forces in Ramallah tried to arrest Omar Abdel-Halim, a member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and a former member of the elite Force 17. An exchange of fire broke out during the raid, in which the 22-year old Abdel-Halim was killed and four other Palestinians were wounded.

Ich bin dafür, dass holländische Spezialkräfte - als Entschädigung für diverse Unpässlichkeiten - Ehud Olmert nach Den Haag entführen und dieser dort unter Anklage des Völkermords vor Gericht gestellt wird.

Under-cover of the Israeli army assassinated on Tuesday evening lieutenant Omar Mohammad Abul-Halim, 24, after infiltrating into a local restaurant in Ramallah, in the northern part of the West Bank.

Eyewitnesses reported that Abdul-Halim, nicknamed as the Tiger, was in Al Nasera (Nazareth) restaurant in the center of Ramallah when the under-cover forces broke into it and opened fire at him killing him and injuring seven other residents.

Palestinian security sources reported that the forces kidnapped several residents and took them to unknown destinations.

Klare Sache, Israel setzt für das Erreichen einer friedlichen Lösung im Sinne gegenseitiger Koexistenz ganz auf die Diplomatie.

Vor einigen Jahren hieß es noch immer im Mainstream: "Ja, für eine Demokratie gehört es sich....". Diese Stimmen sind in Anbetracht des täglichen Wahnsinns schon lange verstummt.

British UCU votes in favor of boycott on Israeli academics

The University and College Union (UCU) of Britain, the largest academic organization in the United Kingdom, voted on Wednesday in favor of an academic boycott of Israel.

The motion was passed despite the UCU leader's appeal to members of the union to ignore the call for an academic boycott.

Of the UCU representatives present, 158 voted in favor of the motion, 99 voted against, and 8 abstained.

Education Minister Yuli Tamir criticized result, calling it a "surprising move that does not conform with reality."
